About Toughened Glass
Toughened glass, commonly referred to as ‘Tempered glass,’ stands as fortified safety glass, its strength amplified through meticulous thermal processes. This involves subjecting annealed glass to temperatures of around 650⁰C followed by swift cooling, culminating in a glass that possesses fourfold the strength of regular glass.
This intense heat treatment and rapid cooling induce distinct physical attributes, notably instilling surface compressive stress and enhancing the glass’s flexural potency. Preceding toughening, the glass is intricately cut to precise dimensions or expertly shaped, setting the stage for its exceptional attributes.

The glass glides on rollers through our furnace, undergoing a remarkable transformation. Three heating methods – conduction, convection, and radiation – work in harmony. Rollers ensure even heat distribution, while coils radiate warmth, leaving no side untouched. A gentle air blast embraces both surfaces, achieving a uniform cooling of the now-heated glass. This meticulous process crafts glass that’s consistently strong and resilient.
